Buildings by Women

The exhibition ‘Buildings by Women’ takes you along 8 special projects by female architects in Rotterdam. Pendrecht by Lotte Stam-Beese and Kop van Zuid by Riek Bakker, but also iconic buildings such as De Rotterdam, warehouse Santos and the Kruispleinflat are put in the spotlight. You will discover the unique stories behind their creation and design through beautiful photos, drawings and background information.

Tip: Concurrently with the exhibition, the architecture guide “Buildings by Women: Rotterdam” will be published. The guide takes you on a journey through 50 architectural Rotterdam projects designed by female architects, and invites you to rediscover Rotterdam from a different perspective — because once you know who built the city, you’ll never see it the same way again.
