Lloyd Yard: Window on the River

Over the past 15 years, the Lloyd Quarter has been transformed from industrial port area to beloved residential neighborhood. The former wasteland is now characterized by a mix of architecture: from transformed monumental warehouses, old harbor monuments to unique new construction. Lloyd Yard belongs to the latter category, a design by Paul de Ruiter Architects, WE Architects and ZUS. With 136 energy-neutral homes, large outdoor spaces and the reflective Maas window, this project is the final piece of the transformation. Join architect Martijn van Gameren as he tells you the background stories about the design the complex. Finally, take a seat on the giant swing in the Maas Window while enjoying the spectacular view and a musical performance by the artists of Grounds: Oriol Marès and Lluïsa Paredes, the clarinet and cello duo combines their interpretation of European classical music heritage with a deep interest in world music.
