The Keilepand from 1922, is situated in the M4H – Makers District. The former shed of Thomsen’s port company is entirely made of concrete. The building was in poor condition when in 2015-2016 Group A together with Bekkering Adams architects transformed the top floor into an “activity-based” location in which several like-minded companies share space and facilities. In the meantime, the group of users has grown into the Keilecollectief and you can visit their common work and meeting space on the Day of Architecture Rotterdam. Besides, there are tours twice a day through different organizations and spaces in the building.
The Keilecollectief is committed to a better living environment and consists of companies working in architecture and urban planning, various makers working in the interior design industry and one institution committed to an alternative local food chain.
