Recap 2025… Classics by Night
21 June 2025
In the evening, the transformation of M4H took centre stage with a culinary and cultural tour through the former port area. Top chef Kelvin Lin served delicious bites at restaurant Hidden Gem, while architect and founder of the KeileCollectief Monica Adams spoke about the history and changes in the area. The guide then took visitors past the Katoenhuis and Kunst & Complex: two truly Rotterdam cultural venues.

Dance, film, stories and music formed the common thread throughout Classics by Night. At sunset, with the Erasmus Bridge as a backdrop, writer Sanneke van Hassel read urban stories at De Rotterdam. Nearby, we celebrated the 65th anniversary of arthouse cinema Cinerama with tours and spoken word. And dancers Hinako Yukimoto and Annakha Flos brought the modernist Oud Kerk in the Kiefhoek to life with the performance a y a t o r i — created by artist Charlotte Puebla.
Finally, the Oostelijk Zwembad featured as a new Classics by Night venue. Master storyteller Ferrie Weeda and director Hans Timmerman guided people through the hidden corners of the swimming pool: from the vacant Beatrixbad to the water system deep underground. The tours concluded at the main pool with a spectacular synchronised swimming performance by the GZC Donk team.
